MIAMI BEACH, FL — A 2022 Miami Beach Senior High School graduate was accepted into all eight Ivy League colleges, the Miami Herald reported. Ashley Adirika plans to study government at Harvard University in the fall and will attend on a full scholarship. "It was surreal," the 17-year-old said. "It felt amazing to know the work that I put into my educational journey was paying off and to see [colleges] recognize that." The teen, who lives in Miami Gardens, made a two-hour commute to get to Miami Beach for school every day. According to her high school's website, she served as the Student Government Association president for the 2021-22 school year. She was also a member of the speech and debate team.
