Press release from the Waterford Public Library: May 14, 2022 Waterford Municipal Historian Bob Nye will be sharing his knowledge and concerns of some of Waterford's town-owned buildings, how they were acquired and a bit of their history: The 1936 Hall of Records and current home to Waterford Youth and Family Services; the Old Jordan School built in 1918 (the town's current town hall); the Secchiaroli Barn built in 1923; the circa 1870 Nevins Tenant Cottage; the Jordan Park house built in 1928 and the town's first "purpose built" library, the shuttered Cohanzie school built in 1923; and the Walnut Grove Farm, the former Hammond Estate and current home to the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. The presentation is sure to provide attendees with many historical facts and tidbits that will have staying power. Please register for this in-person event by clicking here.
