Description
Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year. The abundant light present provides the opportunity for us to clearly see how our past experiences have created the beauty of who we are today. Join me for a sacred afternoon designed to honor your imperfect perfectness. We'll use ceremony, ritual, meditation, introspection, journaling and the art of Kintsugi to bask in the beauty of your unique journey. Kintsugi is the Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery with gold. Instead of discarding what could be seen as broken, cracks and scars are mended with the most precious material. The end result is a vessel that is even more exquisite than the original. We'll use this insightful process to remind us that the amazing being we are is because of the path we've traveled. Registration fee: $45 per person + you'll need to purchase a Kintsugi Repair Kit Please note, in addition to the registration fee, you will need to purchase a Kintsugi Repair Kit. I recommend purchasing the "Sweetening Change" kit from Lifehoney. Kits through Lifehoney are usually $179.00, but they have offered us a generous discount of 20% to support our work together. You will receive the discount code after you register (so wait to purchase the kit until you receive the code). Lifehoney is an amazing company with an amazing owner and the quality of their product is unparalleled. When you purchase through Lifehoney, a portion of your purchase will be donated to a non-profit that brings Japanese cultural events to the US and a portion of your purchase will be donated to a non-profit that helps honeybees. Alternatively, lower price-point kits (from $20) are readily available through Etsy. You can choose to use a kit from Etsy, but I cannot guarantee size, quality or intention of the shop owner. You will be responsible for ordering and paying for your Kintsugi Repair Kit. Please be mindful that you will need to plan enough time to order and receive your kit. Registration and kit order before June 1st is highly recommended.
