Description

GROTON, CT — A former superintendent of Groton schools is facing federal child pornography possession and transportation charges, according to The New London Day. Paul Kadri, 56, served as superintendent from 2008 to 2013, when he was terminated for allegedly mistreating school employees. Kadri now faces accusations that he was caught at a Florida airport last year carrying a flash drive that contained images of child pornography. Read the full story in The New London Day. Kadri was dismissed by the Groton Board of Education in 2013 and permanently barred from school property. An arbitrator had found "due and sufficient cause" to terminate Kadri's contract, saying he had abused, humiliated, and threatened employees, according to the decision issued in the case. Kadri maintained his innocence at the time. See related: Paul Kadri Barred from School Property; Maintains his Innocence
