GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich police on Wednesday announced that they have secured an arrest warrant for a man they say robbed an M&T Bank in Cos Cob last month.
The warrant is for Joseph C. Heffner, 42, of Stamford, according to Lt. Martin O'Reilly of the Greenwich Police Department. The warrant comes with first-degree robbery and fourth-degree larceny charges, as well as a $500,000 bond.
Joseph C. Heffner. (courtesy of Greenwich Police Department) At approximately 10:15 a.m. on May 11, police said they received a report of a robbery at the M&T Bank on the Post Road in Cos Cob. No injuries were reported, and a man fled the bank with less than $5,000, police said.
Heffner is listed at 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 150 pounds, according to police.
Wendy's Robbery Update
On May 23 around 1:50 a.m., police said two men dressed in black hoodies with masks entered the Wendy's on W. Putnam Avenue while employees were closing up, and one of the men brandished a gun and demanded cash from the manager. An undisclosed amount was taken, police said, noting that there were no injuries.
The men then fled the area. Police said the robbery is not related to the bank robbery.
