HVAC Service - Oil Burner Technician Responsibilities : -Install and service oil burners and furnaces for residential customers and select commercial businesses.-Perform tune-ups in customers' homes and adjust burners for maximum efficiency. -Adjust and install various temperature controls and devices. -Perform diagnostic electrical testing of heating and air conditioning equipment and performs repairs within the confines of respective license(s). -Install and perform maintenance to central air conditioning units. Install and perform maintenance to water heaters. -Perform all service work in compliance with applicable codes and manufacturer's instructions. -On-call position on a rotating basis including weekends and evenings providing 24-7 coverage for emergency service outside of normal business hours. HVAC Service Oil Burner Technician Qualifications: -High school graduate or equivalent -Completion of Certified Oil Burner Technician School -Current MA oil burner license required -Thorough understanding of safety procedures.Minimum of 2+ years' experience as HVAC licensed service technician. -Ability to work independently with good problem-solving skills. Requires the ability to lift 100+ pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently and 25 pounds constantly. Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen. The company also covers the first $2000 of deductible and/or prescription drug payments as part of the health care coverage. Health care starts at $15 per week depending on the plan.
