First, today's weather: Mostly sunny. High: 91 Low: 77. Here are the top three stories today in New Orleans: Two people were shot and injured on Tuesday night in Central City. NOPD responded to the scene after sounds of gunfire were heard at the intersection of South Dorgenois and Earhart Blvd. The two victims, a man and woman, were taken to a hospital by a private vehicle. (WDSU New Orleans) The city of New Orleans partnered with other local entities to hold a bicycle and pedestrian safety forum. The forum reviewed proposed solutions to the growing transportation issue, including updating current infrastructure and using legislature to support these efforts. Currently, New Orleans has alarmingly high rates of pedestrian accidents. (WGNO New Orleans) The Louisiana House Representative who proposed a bill to remove Confederate holidays from the state calendar reported that he is now receiving death threats in response to this new bill. The lawmaker, Matthew Willard, said he will continue lobbying for the bill while the threats are being investigated. The New Orleans pride parade, among many other celebratory events, will roll on June 11 at 5 p.m. in the Marginy. (WDSU New Orleans)The New Orleans Saints announced that they will be hosting their 2022 minicamp, open to season ticket holder and the public, from June 14-16!
