Sanitation worker at the El Paso Flower’s Bakery OBJECTIVES: • Maximize daily efficiencies. • Ensure high standards of work performed. • Ensure machines are cleaned and sanitized to company standards following established cleaning procedures to satisfactorily pass all internal and external inspections. • Maintain a safe work environment being safety conscious and using safe work practices per bakery policy. * * • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * • Clean all areas of the environment, internal and external, including floors, walls, exterior grounds, etc., using equipment and machines provided within designated time frames. • Clean a variety of machines and equipment, ranging from large stationary equipment to small mobile equipment within the designated time frames. • Reassemble all machines and equipment correctly in preparation for the next shift. • Ensure communication to ABM team of any quality control issues. • Perform tasks related to the group as assigned by the ABM leader. • Perform job in safe manner following safety guidelines and rules. • Report all accidents and near misses to the ABM team • Follow hygiene guidelines, including washing of hands and use of sanitizing lotion before entering production area, removing all jewelry and other objects from the body that can fall into our products and wearing effective hair restraints, hearing protection, and approved safety boots. • Assist in housekeeping of areas worked, keeping floor and equipment clean of product, water and garbage throughout shift and at end of shift • Responsible for supporting the production of safe food for human consumption using the food safety procedures and protocols in place. • Stretch during shift to help avoid injury. • Attend work group meetings • Return all self and peer evaluations by requested due dates. • Give input to the ABM team on new hires. • All other tasks as assigned by supervisor. CURRENT QUALIFICATIONS: • Good communication skills. • Ability to work in a cooperative and team oriented manner • Effective time management skills • Effective organizational skills • Willingness to work variable hours with overtime flexibility • Flexibility in terms of starting times and for days off as all workers are scheduled for Sundays and holidays and are involved with the coverage needs of the entire department. • Ability to work using proper body mechanics • Ability to lift 50 lbs. in a safe manner • Detail oriented • Prompt and dependable • Ability to follow oral and written instructions • Ability to abide by all ABM rules and procedures • Basic math skills • Self motivated * • WORKING CONDITIONS * • Late work hours • Tasks which are repetitive and physical in nature. • Working with water a large majority of the time. • Standing 99% of the time with pushing, pulling and lifting movements • Loud working environment • Fast-paced job tasks • Much reliance on co-workers • Small work team • Variable temperatures ranging from hot to cold depending on season Job Type: Full-time ABM offers benefits, uniforms, excellent discount programs.
