The workshops and Town Hall Meeting have been initiated to further engage, educate and to actively assist the Black Community of Kansas City to organize independently and as a community. Leading up to the Town Hall meeting the workshops will provide TICKETS ARE FOR WORKSHOP 1 ONLY. Workshop # 1 of 3 July 16, 2022 10:30 AM- 1:00 PM Greg Clice Center This engaging session is designed to have attendees participate in group activity to help identify, define and determine what are the characteristics of a healthy person, family, community, city, county, state, nation and world. The outcome of the activity is to create a list of general indicators of what is healthy and unhealthy. Groups will also list the different things an individual could do to help facilitate a healthy ecosystem throughout the systems mentioned above. This workshop prepares town hall attendees to identify and understand characteristics of healthy systems. Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs will be used as a model to help construct a list of needs, wants and opportunities for transcendence at each level. The outcome of the activity is to have a combined list of needs and wants for each of the systems mentioned in workshop One. This workshop prepares town hall attendees to identify the needs of systems in order for the systems to be healthy and to function with resilience. Based on input received from the previous two workshops. This activity will engage attendees to collaborate and to visualize how goals can be achieved through utilizing Bloom’s Taxonomy and SWOT analysis to create resilient community systems. A panel discussion will take place, audience members will be able to ask questions and to hold dialogue within the discussion. Purpose driven breakout sessions will be available for attendees to assist with creating community goals, strategies, planning and to fellowship.
