PETERBOROUGH, NH — A threatening online post has elevated safety concerns at a nearby high school. Peterborough police and ConVal School District officials were tipped off to a threat made on social media against the high school on Wednesday. Parents, staff, and students informed officials about the threat. The threat also mentioned Rocheport, Missouri — a town with a population of around 260 that is two hours east of Kansas City. Both police and School Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo informed the public later that the threat was not deemed credible although there was an increased police presence at the schools. "Whether they ultimately prove credible or not, we take any threat against the safety of our schools with the utmost seriousness," she said. "I want to thank all of the members of the ConVal community who came forward with this information so that it could be addressed immediately." Got a news tip? Send it to [email protected].
