Press release from the City of Long Beach: May 27, 2022 Long Beach, CA – The City of Long Beach will host the Long Beach Community Job Fair, an in-person multi-sector job fair at the Long Beach Convention Center, on Tuesday, June 7, from 1 to 5 p.m. With over 160 employers looking to fill over 3,000 jobs collectively, the Long Beach Community Job Fair will be the largest in-person job fair in LA County so far this year. "This is an incredible opportunity for people across our region seeking employment that allows them to meet in-person with hundreds of prospective employers," said Mayor Robert Garcia. Participating employers represent many industries including Aerospace, Aviation, Advanced Manufacturing, Construction, Utilities, Environmental Services, Government/Non-Profit, Healthcare, IT, Financial Services, Hospitality, Retail, Tourism and Transportation, Distribution and Logistics. Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet directly with recruiters and hiring managers which could lead to day-of interviews and even employment offers on the spot. Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and bring their resume. Pre-registration is required for admission. Both admission and parking are free. "As the regional workforce development entity, Pacific Gateway prides itself in curating opportunities such as this job fair where we can optimize the market so both employers and talent have power and choice," said Pacific Gateway Executive Director Nick Schultz. The Long Beach Community Job Fair is organized by the City's Department of Economic Development and the Pacific Gateway Workforce Innovation Network, in partnership with the State of California Employment Development Department, California State University Long Beach, Long Beach City College, Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services, United American Indian Involvement, and City and County officials.
