Know Your Worth Girls, Inc is hosting their 2nd Annual Youth Empowerment Brunch this June! The goal of this years theme “Girls Living In Color” is to empower girls on how to exclusively love themselves unapologetically while being true to themselves. Color represents feelings, people, culture and symbolism. For instance pink represents love, yellow for happiness, blue represents confidence. The event's vibe is to focus on the most intimate feelings of each girl by providing an elaborate & fun experience that inspire females to know their worth.🖤All proceeds go to purchasing a van to transport youth mentees of K.Y.W. Girls. THIS EVENT IS FOR FEMALES AGES 8+ ONLY! GIRLS is a 501(c)(3) mentoring program for girls ages 8-17 that offer workshops on self empowerment, youth entrepreneurship, financial literacy, community service, travel and more. Our goal is to ensure that our youth become confident, self assured, solution oriented and prepared to navigate through life and be optimistic about their future.💚 For more inspiration check out K.Y.W. Community service outing @ Bartram Garden. The mentees got a chance to plant over 15 trees to benefit the environment. Sisterhood is an association of girls linked by a common interest. Having a sense of belonging is important. At K.Y.W. Girls mentees are taught the importance of acceptance and growth.🖤 Trip to iPlay American In honor of Ramadan the Mini Muslimah's of K.Y.W. Girls fed 125 community fasting muslims & people in need of a meal & gave out free books. Thanks to our community partner @urbanartgallery for providing us to utilize their elaborate venue each year for workshops, community events & more! Mini Muslimahs & mentees of 2021/2022 The positive outcomes of engaged parents are powerful! Children see benefits like improved cognitive development and academic performance, better social-emotional development, and improved health. 2022 Family Nite @ Rolling Thunder Skate Center Positive self-esteem for girls is important as it allows them to try new things, take healthy risks and solve problems. In turn, their learning and development will be productive and will set them up for a healthy and positive future.🖤 2021 Youth Empowerment Brunch A father's influence in his daughter's life shapes her self-esteem, self-image, confidence and opinions of men. A positive father-daughter relationship can have a huge impact on a young girl's life and even determine whether or not she develops into a strong, confident woman. 2019 Youth Empowerment Brunch Girl Talk at @thespotperiodhub in partnership with @nomoresecretsmbs @pcom_amwa and @pcomobgynclub. The mentees got to learn the importance of self exams for #breastcancerawareness and labeled the internal reproductive system. Our community partner No More Secrets MBS is a Nonprofit organization combatting period poverty & saving marginalized communities. They opened the world's first period hub @thespotperiodhub and Mobile unit while teaching our mentees about sexual awarness, selflove & more.
