Assistant Shop Manager Job in Construction: We are looking for an enthusiastic assistant shop manager to help with the day-to-day operations of our construction equipment, fleet, and shipping and receiving. The assistant shop manager's responsibilities include Staging equipment and material on a weekly basis for jobs, enforcing company policies, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, performing minor repairs and maintaining all vehicles and equipment while keeping accurate service logs. To be successful as a assistant shop manager you should have excellent organizational skills, mechanical knowledge with the ability to make repairs as needed and have a good understanding of business operations. An outstanding assistant shop manager should be able to work with the shop manager to ensure the smooth operations of all aspects of equipment and our fleet. Assistant Shop Manager Responsibilities: Stage equipment and material on job-to-job basis. Vehicle maintenance, equipment maintenance and repair. Maintain specialized industrial equipment to limit down time. Ensuring all staff adhere to safety standards, company policies, and procedures. Recording and managing inventory. Ensuring the shop is adequately stocked, clean, and visually appealing. Assistant Shop Manager Requirements: Mechanical knowledge High school diploma/GED required. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Pay/based on experience
