help moving two pieces of furniture

Need help moving two pieces of furniture: one (1) couch and one (1) desk. Going from a ground floor apartment (half flight of stairs) to a second floor apartment (one flight of stairs). Desk is roughly 250lbs and couch is roughly 100lbs. Distance is roughly one block/500ft, so may need a pickup truck or moving van. Should take no more than 30-45 minutes. Needs to be done by 4pm Friday 6/3.
