I’m an experienced, educated, and skilled guitarist looking to either start a band or join an existing band. I’m in my 30’s and have been playing for 20 years. I’m pretty versatile and like a wide variety of music, but I’m most comfortable with funky, jazz-blues, type rock with varying degrees of heaviness. I have a number of my own songs written. I’m open to playing covers, but I don’t really want to be in a straight up cover band. I like to have room for creativity and expression and putting together and arranging song parts is fun to me. I like working long improvised jams into songs, too. My main goal is to get together with other musicians and have fun playing music. Getting together to “jam” is ok to start, but I like to practice and play with a purpose, so if it’s too casual for too long I might start to lose interest.
