Recording/writing project looking for a female vocalist to collaborate, to expand/mix-up the sound. We are looking to write and record songs with an eye towards licensing songs for movies and television. Also hoping to eventually be a live performance entity. We have industry connections and the capacity to record professionally. We are versatile, so we can do drums and keys and guitars and bass. We are middle-aged dudes (38-50) looking to move forward with something that is both cool and sensible. Influences are all over the place- just good songwriting- disciples of Bob Dylan- Petty, Lucinda Williams, Springteen, etc, but also some indie rock and pop... I love Band of Horses and Taylor Swift. No hard rules... we want to record great material. It's a safe environment... the music biz has been shitty to women. We are also cool with teaming up with couples or duos or whatever. If you play an instrument, that's a plus. Multiple singers here a la: The Band, Fleetwood Mac, Rilo Kiley, the Eagles (I suppose). Indie-ish, tho.
