Office Furniture 911 Warehouse Associate-Job Description Purpose & Mission Continuous strategic planning with the Warehouse Manager to maintain a well-organized, clean and safe working environment within the warehouse in conjunction with providing service excellence within our field of operations. Responsibilities Assist the Warehouse Manager to carry out the daily activities within the warehouse. Activities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Checking off inbound freight ensuring the product received matches the bill of lading Label and place the freight in a designated area where it can be easily located Alert the sales team the freight has arrived and report any discrepancies or damages Provide assistance to our walk-in customers when the sale is complete Tender the product to the customer at loading dock and have them sign the customer pick up release form Replenish the inventory of the item sold Build new case good furniture out of the box in preparation for installation Pull the complete sales order for next day deliveries and install Ensure the order is complete and checked off, that it is cleaned to our standards and staged in the designated area to be loaded onto the truck Maintain clean and orderly aisles in the warehouse. We have customer foot traffic, therefore, we have an image to uphold along with practicing preventative safety measures Ensure the new and used showroom floors and product are kept stocked, cleaned and are orderly. Follow the post install procedural document created. Make yourself available and work with the Inventory Specialist to ensure labor, tools and necessary equipment are available to assist with their role Help coach and lead continuous improvement with the warehouse team. Mistakes will happen, that said, make the necessary adjustments to prevent future reoccurrences Maintain inventory control of our field equipment such as dollies, straps, pads, panel carts, shrink wrap, tape and cleaning supplies Ensure the company or rental truck is properly maintained by providing: Weekly mileage and physical condition reports Daily check of DEF fluid, diesel fuel and perform a physical inspection inside the cab and cargo box to ensure it is clean and orderly Ensure the dumpster and the area surrounding is clean, orderly and emptied when necessary Maintain the maintenance on the forklift: Daily inspections Maintain water in the batteries Physical check of hoses Pay: $15.50-$17.50 per hour dependent upon commercial furniture experience Principals only.
