Hello! My name is Veronica, and I just graduated with my Ph.D. in sociology from UC Merced. I am conducting interviews with system-impacted Mexican American women, ages 18-35, who live in the Central Valley for my first book. “System-impacted” refers to folks who have been indirectly impacted by the criminal justice system due to the incarceration of a close loved one (example, parent, sibling, spouse). If you or someone you know meet these criteria and are interested in participating in this study, I’d love to hear from you. Interviews can be conducted in person, on Zoom or FaceTime, or over the phone. All information will be confidential, and you will receive a $25 VISA gift card for your participation.
