Habitat Management, Inc. an environmental consulting firm specializing in ecological restoration and land management, is accepting applications for Environmental Field Technicians at their Englewood, CO location. Position is seasonal, beginning as soon as the weather permits and continuing into the Fall. The work is physically demanding and mentally challenging. Travel and work at remote job sites is probable. Flexibility with field schedules and adaptability to new situations is a must. All applicants must have a reliable vehicle for personal transportation. Only physically strong, highly motivated, and mechanically inclined individuals should apply.
Job duties may include but are not limited to:
Noxious weed management
Plant identification and mapping
Erosion control
Operating ATV and UTV equipment
Equipment maintenance and repair
Planting and seeding of native species
Installing log and straw sediment control barriers
Heavy lifting (50 pounds+)
Attention to workplace safety procedures
GPS navigation and data collection
Requirements:
Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test
Applicants must obtain and provide a copy of their driving record and have a valid driver’s license
Not required, but desired:
Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) certification
College credit in natural sciences
New Mexico, Colorado Supervisor Pesticide Applicators License
Heavy equipment operation (ie: skid steer, mini-ex, backhoe)
