Description
Roscoe is a 9 month old Great Dane. He is fully vaccinated, but not yet neutered since we were waiting until he is 1. Roscoe is a perfect dog. We have 3 toddlers under the age of 4 and he does amazing with them. He’s fully potty trained, knows sit, and drop it. He walks well on a leash with me, but with my husband he does pull but I believe it’s because he’s always so excited since my husbands not home often. He has not been around cats, and he was around other dogs at 6 months when he was in daycare and did great. He’s still a puppy so he should adapt well.
Now to why we’re rehoming. We relocated to a second floor apartment. Roscoe is young and LOVES to pounce at his toys and get his zoomies in multiple times a day, and that doesn’t really work well for a 100lb puppy with someone living beneath us. Even going to the dog park twice a day doesn’t fix it. For this, Roscoe 100% NEEDS a house with a yard. Doesn’t need to be fenced, as when we lived in our previous apartment he’d just do zoomies outside and listened well to come back when it was time to go inside or someone was coming.
Roscoe is the perfect dog for a family who wants a puppy but doesn’t want to go through potty training. He is fully crate trained and will come with a 45” crate and a brand new 54” crate for when he’s larger. He currently is eating Victor dog food and does very well on that, so it would be best to not switch if you want him to keep having solid poop lol. I’d prefer Roscoe go to a home with children where someone is home most of the day, and a family who has experience with the breed since there are many things with them to watch our for (such as bloat). He is such a sweet, sensitive boy and he honestly deserves the absolute best life possible. Rehoming fee does apply for him and 2 cages, his food and food container, and toys.
