SSP Industries is looking for General Laborer or Pipelayer with experience for our underground utility division. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Locate existing underground utilities by hand digging (potholing) • Install underground waterlines, sanitary sewer lines and storm sewer lines • Backfill waterlines, sanitary sewer lines and storm drain lines utilizing vibratory plates, tampers, (jumping jacks) and remote-controlled trench compactors • General labor and other construction activities as assigned. SAFETY • Promote, execute and adhere to SSP safety program • Wear required PPE • OSHA 10 hour safety training (preferred) but can be obtained upon hire • Attend regular safety trainings. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED SKILLS • Attendance and Dependability • Knowledge of hand and power tools utilized for underground pipe installation • Physically able to twist, scoop, bend, kneel, ascend ladders, descend ladders, and walk on uneven ground. • Able to work well with others • Valid Drivers License BENEFITS • Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance benefits eligible after 60 days • Paid Holidays after 90 days • PTO • IRA **Applications are located in our San Antonio office; please apply in person** Text/Call Human Resources for Questions Work Cell# 210-868-0166
