Alamitos Bay Yacht Club is a small private sailing club that has a long history of championship and Olympic sailing. As we are evolving our member experience, we are looking to add culinary and maintenance professionals that can grow with us. We are in need of a culinary professional to be able to handle our lunch program Mon - Fri. We have a small breakfast & lunch menu that is easy to execute and involves a lot of member engagement. You must be comfortable talking with Members and also able to learn how to operate the POS. We wear many hats, from cooking, to dish washing, maintaining cleanliness throughout all kitchens and the property and also supporting other departments. We follow recipes, receive and put away orders, label food daily along with anything needed to make the shift be a success. The ideal candidate for our maintenance team comes with a background in either maintenance, plumbing, electrical and or mechanical. While having a handyman background is ideal, we're in need of someone who fits with our culture and team. This isn't a one dimensional type maintenance gig; there will be days you'll wash dishes, mow the lawn, pour drinks behind a bar and a multitude of other tasks. You're responsible for the daily cleaning of bathrooms and normal housekeeping, but you may also be on a boat or visiting another yacht club. Anyone who joins our team needs to be comfortable being flexible with how tasks flow. While we have some structure, we need someone who is can be fluid and able to manage their time accordingly. Your ability to be a team player, comes to work when scheduled and is able to manage meal breaks is imperative. Our work schedule is typically Wed - Sun 8:30 to 5, although the shift will be adjusted to meet business needs during peak season. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS.
