Description

All Call 2022 features artists hailing from New York, Chicago, Detroit, and Toledo. We've thoughtfully curated a day of music that brings together an amazing lineup of original performers. Food will be available from our fleet of food trucks as well as Happy's Tacos inside the bar. We'll be taking over Wellington Street and music will take place throughout the day on two stages. HELADO NEGRO Hailing from New York City, the music of Helado Negro combines hazy grooves, sticky melody, and air tight rhythm to create an atmosphere that hangs in the air after each song ends. His latest album Far In (4AD Records) was released last year and ushered in acclaim and strong reviews from the likes of Pitchfork and NPR. After touring Europe this summer Helado Negro is making a special stop in Traverse City to headline All Call. KAINA A pink cloud of dreamy soul-pop; Kaina starts with classic R&B and twists it into her signature modern heartfelt groove. Subtly lush and impeccably produced her latest album It Was a Home is a modern soul masterpiece that belongs in every car stereo late at night, on every basement dance party playlist, and as the soundtrack to your next blue sky day dream. OHMME Ohmme, the creative mindmeld of Macie Stewart and Sima Cunningham, crafts knotty and addictive art-rock from their homebase of Chicago. Amidst their numerous collaborations and projects with other notable and legandary Chicago musicians the group released their third album Fantasize Your Ghost in 2020. Since then they’ve continued to release new music including a single for Sub Pop Records. We are excited to welcome back Ohmme to Traverse City after stops here in 2018 and 2019. TINY JAG Detroit local, Tiny Jag brings hard hitting beats and sharp lyricism to her enamoring pop infused hip-hop. With equal talents for crafting compelling rhymes as anthemic pop melodies, Tiny Jag has dropped single after single of high energy jams over the last two prolific years. On stage, Tiny Jag’s commanding presence will make you lose your head, open your heart, and move your hips. DANIEL VILLARREAL Somewhere right now Daniel Villarreal is likely creating something beautiful, otherworldy, and undoubtedly rhythmic. For the last twenty years the Panama born percussionist has been a fixture of the Chicago scene, playing in the psychedelic latin fusion band Dos Santos. In May 2022, Villarreal released his first full length album, Panamá 77 via the International Anthem record label. Its layers of percussion and tight drum grooves mix with the tones of friends and collaborators to create a funk fusion fireball. THE ANTIVILLAINS Hailing from Toledo, Ohio, The Antivillains summon a world of magic and mystery with simple tools. Their richly textured and ethereal take on songcraft is something more akin to sonic witchcraft. More than the sum of their parts, their sound and presence has cemented their place in the Midwest underground.
