MILWAUKEE, WI — Diving crews pulled a body in the Milwaukee River in Milwaukee's downtown area on Tuesday, Deputy Chief William Kowalski told Patch.
The Milwaukee Fire Department pulled a man's body from the river near N. Plankinton Avenue and W. Wisconsin Avenue, Kowalski said. Diving crews responded to a 911 call about a body in the river around 2:02 p.m.
The unnamed man was in his late 20's to mid 30's, the Milwaukee Police Department said in a statement. The death doesn't appear suspicious right now.
The fire department gave the body to paramedics, who pronounced the person dead on scene, Kowalski said. The incident would be investigated by the Milwaukee Police Department.
