The City of White Plains, NY is hosting their 18th Annual Juneteenth Parade and Festival to celebrate African-American culture and the end of slavery . The parade will feature bands, dancers, drummers, music and will begin at 11am. Festival to follow from 12pm - 5pm includes entertainment, vendors and food.

The White Plains Juneteenth Heritage Committee is proud to announce its 18th Annual Parade and Festival, which will be held on Saturday, June 11th from 11am - 5pm in downtown White Plains, NY. This exciting event is FREE and all are welcome to attend. It is a community event with food, fun and entertainment with guest performers Music with a Message Youth Renaissance, Ivan Polanco, Janis McClain, Zaida and the Royalty Step Team to be enjoyed by the whole family. The Harriet Tubman “A Journey to Freedom” statue will be celebrated through song, small vignettes, exhibits, veteran speeches and poetry.
11:00am: The Parade will be held on Mamaroneck Avenue
12:00pm: The Festival will be held on Court Street
The 2022 theme “Preserving Our Legacy” illustrates the historical commitment of those who came before us and our determination to continue to fulfill their legacy. With that imparted, it is of great importance that we achieve our desired objectives which are to better communicate the history and celebration of Juneteenth, gain greater participation from the overall community, educate our youth in the importance of this historical holiday and strengthen funding so that this celebration will continue to thrive.
