OLD WESTBURY, NY — An 18-year-old man was arrested on terrorism and harassment charges after making threats against his Long Island high school, authorities announced Wednesday. Oketa Orlando Blair Jr., a student at Westbury High School, threatened to "conduct a violent act towards students and faculty members," Nassau County police said. Faculty at the school, located at 1 Post Rd., alerted authorities once they discovered the threat. A police department spokesperson would not comment on the nature of the threat but said it was made on social media. Blair Jr. was arrested without incident on Tuesday, and charged with making a terroristic threat and second-degree aggravated harassment. The police spokesperson said officers searched his Westbury home for weapons but did not find any. An Extreme Risk Protection Order was also granted by a judge preventing Blair Jr. from purchasing any firearms. He is scheduled to appear in Hempstead's First District Court on Wednesday.
