ARAA Home Care LLC, Maryland is currently looking for Patient Care Assistants to work in full- or part-time positions. Please see below for an outline of the responsibilities and requirements: PCA Responsibilities: Provide great patient careAnswer patient calls and determine how best to help themProvide physical support for patients or residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercisingTurn and reposition bedridden patientsEnsure patients receive an appropriate diet by providing their dietary restrictions, food allergies and preferencesObtain a wide range of information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient condition, treatment plans and suggested activitiesMeasure and record food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and report into medical and nursing staffRecord vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respiration rate as requested by staffExamine patients to detect issues requiring medical care including open wounds, bruises or blood in urineRemind patients to take medications and nutritional supplementsNote observations of patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nursesStay up to date on CNA/PCA training and facility policy and procedures CNA Requirements: 2+ years’ work experienceBasic Health and Tuberculosis screeningParticipate in Quality Improvement ProgramPatient Care experienceCurrent CPR (American Heart Association) CertificationAbility to think and work independently and with direction and communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environmentHigh School graduate or equivalentValid Driver’s License and InsuranceMeeting recurring training requirementsMust be able to lift 50 lbs Apply directly to https://www.araahomecarellc.co...
