There is no hope. I am too small to have an impact. I feel helpless. These are words parents, teachers, and schools are feeling and saying every single day. We cannot continue to let these thoughts consume our actions. In the light of another school shooting, bullying, and an astronomical rise in teen suicide, we are being called together as a community to ignite change. Children need us now more than ever. They need us to step up, to redefine what safety looks like in the school system, to recognize what’s not working, to equip ourselves with what is working, and to advocate for change. Donna Angelou has spent the last 22 years equipping children, parents, teachers, and families with the knowledge and tools of social-emotional learning and Conscious Discipline. Through these teachings a whole new level of self-awareness, safety, understanding the brain, listening skills, self-regulation, boundary setting, managing emotions, conscious conversation, composure in difficult situations and so much more are cultivated. This new level of awareness and understanding reflects not only positively in the child’s social skills but also in their academic levels. Schools embracing social-emotional learning see a 76% decline in difficult behaviors and a 54% academic increase. And the key to achieving all of these amazing breakthroughs is you. We have to come together to learn how to set the child up for success, create safe space, ask the right questions, understand the brain, have conversations in a way that empowers the child, develop our awareness, shatter separation, communicate without emotions taking over, and always choose love. This event is a collaborative container. We are asking you to come forward, to take action, to voice what’s not working and become equipped with what is, to help shift into a new paradigm in school safety, and to create change together. With this event being held with the support of Donna’s 22 years of research-based solutions in creating more conscious schools, this allows for the opportunity to learn comprehensive tools and curriculum to foster immediate change in school environments that have proved to work time and time again. The children need us now more than ever. It’s time to change the old narrative to the new. There is hope. You are incredibly impactful. You are not helpless; you are powerful. And together as a community we become resilient. Join us Thursday, June 23rd in this community collaboration and educational seminar with Donna Angelou, M.A.Ed., on Equipping Parents, Teachers, and Schools How to be Resilient in the Face of Adversity. When Thursday, June 23rd, 2022 There are 2 seminar times to choose from. Select one or the other to attend. They cover the same topic. Please feel free to arrive 15 minutes early to be ready to start on time. Attend either at 2:00- 3:30pm or 6:00- 7:30pm.
