Need Crew to Help Install Flower Memorial on Sunday in DC
Jobs
Washington DC
Description
We are hiring a labor crew of reliable, puncutal people to help set up a large installation of memorial vases and flowers for a very good cause on the "northeast grounds of the Washington Monument" this Sunday Morning, June 5th, and we have shifts beginning at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. and about 20 people needed in total. We will assign you to a particular shift if we choose to hire you, but please indicate a preference if you have one. The job requires repeatedly placing flowers and vases into the grass in a grid-like pattern, so while it's supposed to be really nice weather on Sunday, this job is really for someone who loves the outdoors, physical jobs, and following directions well to achieve a great result (see the attached picture of one of our previous events) Please do not apply for this job if the physical part of it does not fit well with your abilities - and if you are unable to show up on time due to transit issues, please also do not apply. The job pays $20/hour plus a $10 bonus for showing up on time - street parking is free in most areas in DC on Sunday, but transit is less reliable, so the $10 bonus is to help pay for gas or whatever you need to do to be on time. Depending on which shift you are assigned to, the start time is at 9 or 10 a.m. sharp and the total time of the gig is expected to be at least 4 hours, so we can guarantee at least a 4 hour minimum for everyone - so everyone will make at least $90 - and possibly more, which we'll pro-rate at $20/hour thereafter. So if we go 4 hours and 45 minutes, you'll make $10+$80+$15 overtime for a total of $105. You will be paid at the end of your shift via a payment app - you MUST have Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or Cash App to work this gig - no exceptions. We also will be removing the installation later in the week and everyone working Sunday will have first priority to help with the removal (which goes a lot quicker!) TO APPLY: send us an email with one sentence about why you'd be a good fit for the job and anything else you want to include to have your email stand out from the others, so that we'd pick you (we have received a ton of replies for projects like these in the past at this pay level) If you happen to have a resume or description of prior work similar to this, feel free to attach it, but if you do not have a resume, it would be great to have at least one sentence about your prior work history.
