MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Next time you're near the Stone Arch Bridge, look out for the landscaping: One shrub might be sentient. A video is circulating on social media of a person disguised as a plant startling pedestrians on the bridge. In the video, the prankster is seated in a planter pot, and whoever is inside the costume appears to pass easily as vegetation beneath a thick layer of leaves and flowers. "Someone's on Stone Arch in a plant costume messing with people as they walk by," wrote Minneapolis-based designer and illustrator Melanie G. S. In addition to jumping up and waving its arms (or should we say branches?), the videos show the plant high-fiving and fist-bumping passersby. It even posed for a picture with Walby and her friend.
