DETROIT — The Council on American-Islamic Relations offered a $1,000 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of a shooter who fired shots into a Detroit mosque Saturday. Police said surveillance video showed rounds striking the mosque on Plymouth Road on Detroit's Westside as two cars sped by, leading police to believe the bullets striking the mosque were incidental, WDIV reported. No one inside the mosque was struck by bullets, but three people at an after hours place near the mosque were struck and treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said. They were released from the hospital. "We are actively looking for the shooters," Detroit Police Commander Michael Chambers told WDIV. "We are in the evidence collection process and we hope to have some individual testimony very soon." Police are still searching for the suspect and asked anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
