Young Silver Lab W/ Wobblers

Description

I'm unfortunately needing to find a new home for my Labrador named Cedella. Before reading further, Cedella has Wobbler's syndrome. Wobblers is something that CANNOT be cured and she will need medications, physical therapy and/or surgery to help alleviate her pain. Wobblers can take a dogs life sooner (average is 4 years after diagnosis), but with proper care and treatment, she could live to be 6-7 years old as she just turned 1. She will HAVE to be walked with a harness for the remainder of her life. Cedella was born March 9, 2021 and has yet to be spayed because I was waiting for her to complete her first heat cycle. I will ask/require that she does get spayed with her forever family. She's up to date on vaccinations, but will be due for updated vaccinations in July. Cedella is well mannered and trained, can be around dogs and cats, but be mindful with their play styles. As Cedella does get hurt easily if another animal or person messes with her neck. She knows how to sit, lay down, "house" (kennel), "dog bed" (place.) Fully house broken and crate trained, but usually stays out of a crate while I'm gone. She has never damaged anything while being out of the crate, she typically lays on the sofa, her dog bed or at the front door. She's currently eating Diamond Hi-Energy, I get it at Tractor Supply for $34 for a 50lb bag. She would do best in a mainly female household, as she is men selective. Cedella has never attacked anyone, but does show all the warning signs when she's spooked and/or when meeting new men. Cedella does well with older children (12+), but would be okay with younger children if they understand dog boundaries. That being said, she is just a generally nervous dog. Fast movements, sudden loud, etc. We're located in Columbia, MO and I will be asking a rehoming fee of $300. She'll come with her bed, toys, binder with all her vet visits since I've gotten her, her current generic pain medications. If there's anything specific you might want, please ask and I'll see what I can do. I will be very picky who she goes to, as she needs an understanding and patient family/individual. Please text first and we can arrange a call. Nine40-Two0Six-Two98Nine
