Description
Back by popular demand: The Historic Eastside Neighborhood Tour!
Learn about Longmont's earliest history and citizens, while strolling the neighborhood and looking at their houses
We will start at 9 am Saturday June 25th
The tour starts in the plaza outside the west (Kimbark) entrance of the library, 350 Kimbark St
The tour is free, no registration of any kind needed--donations will be accepted (totally optional!) towards advertisement for the next tour, possibly in the fall, possibly next year
The whole walk takes about 3 hours (maybe a bit more if there is a big group), and is slightly over 3 miles long, with a bathroom stop ½ way through at Collyer Park if needed-a great morning stroll
If it is warm, consider bringing a water bottle-and (it seems obvious, but some didn't consider this in the past) wear comfortable walking shoes
People with joint problems have coasted along on a bicycle in the past, that works too--and some reportedly enjoyed what they saw but pooped out before the finish; they perhaps completed the tour on line, on their own--that's okay too (the whole thing can be previewed, or taken on your own by loading it on your phone, from the neighborhood website: HENA80501.org, click on the tour)
