We have been searching for a puppy or dog to add to our family but haven't had much luck at the shelters and rescues. We are open to all breeds and mixes and would ideally like a dog between 6 months up to 3 years old. We would only consider an older dog if it has already lived with other dogs and children - this is very important to us!! A little bit about us - we live in Des Moines, own our home, have a huge sized backyard and try to be outdoors as much as possible. We go camping, fishing, exploring, often and would want a dog that can go with us on all of our adventures! We have multiple family members with very friendly dogs so he/she would have built in buddies that live close by. We are a very dog friendly, pet oriented family (including our extended family). We are fully financially capable of caring for a dog, but are really just looking for a puppy or dog who is in need of a home, not to buy a puppy/dog.
