About this event In observation of National Train A Teacher Day, we are offering our emergency first aid class to any active teacher, school administrator, staff, or any civic organization - for free. This course covers the legal and moral aspects of using pepper spray as well as effective techniques, user awareness, and the responsibilities every citizen must know when carrying and using pepper spray. (Don’t worry, you do not get sprayed). Extremely effective, easy to obtain, cheap, no permit required, and simplicity of use make pepper spray an optimal choice for those who want added protection. Yet, as with any other tool, there is some learning and practice involved if you want to get the most out of it. In this class, you will learn the significance of differences in spray patterns and heat, when size matters, and how to use it. And you will learn how to incorporate pepper spray as an effective aspect of your personal safety skill set. After completing this class you’ll be able to: ✅Understand the moral and legal issues associated with the possession and use of pepper spray ✅Explain the differences between CS, CN, and OC sprays ✅Properly carry, store, and care for pepper spray canisters ✅Effectively discharge pepper spray to deal with hostile or aggressive assailants ✅Recognize and treat the symptoms associated with being sprayed, and how to decontaminate yourself and/or others after being sprayed.
