Maintenance Worker I - Parks - Regular Full-Time Benefitted - $24.70 - $30.24 Hourly Includes, but is not limited to such essential functions as listed below: -Clean and sanitize public restrooms; maintain facilities. -Pick up litter; empty waste receptacles; sweep and/or blow walkways and parking lots. -Weed and cultivate landscaped areas; water plants and lawn; operate power mowers and edgers. -Perform minor equipment maintenance; perform minor metal fabrication. -Assist more senior staff in project completion as assigned. -Observe and report vandalism, safety hazards and maintenance needs to the Parks Foreman and/or Parks Maintenance Superintendent. -Prepare vehicles for use each morning, ensuring vehicles are properly fueled, oiled, cleaned, and ready to be used. -Lead Community Service personnel and other volunteers as assigned. -Performs other general maintenance work as assigned. -Assists senior staff with irrigation repairs and programing -Prepare and maintain athletic fields -Operates the departments mowers and is responsible for weekly mowing -Maintain regular attendance. General Laborer - Part-Time - Non-Benefitted - $15.36 - $18.12 Hourly Summary: Performs a variety of semi-skilled duties. Utilizes hand and power tools and operates light vehicles. The position is within the Parks and Recreation works under the supervisory direction of the Foreman or Lead Worker Job Location and Equipment Utilized: Work is performed in an outdoor environment, with exposure to seasonal heat, cold, and extreme weather conditions. Exposure to traffic noises, traffic fumes and other traffic hazards. Equipment utilized includes mowers, line trimmers and other power tools. Field Attendant - Part-Time - Non-Benefitted - $15.36 - $18.12 Hourly Summary: Performs a variety of semi-skilled park maintenance and athletic duties. Utilizes hand and power tools and operates light vehicles including riding tractors.
