None of the bands you mention are cover bands. They are all professional bands who recorded a FEW cover songs. If they played only covers, nobody would have ever heard of them outside their area. Cover bands don't suck, but they certainly aren't the cream of the crop as musicians. If you can't write original material, you will leave NOTHING to the legacy of Rock and Roll. You don't even count as an "also ran". You're just a parrot, taking money for playing someone else's music. As for "How's your hit song writing coming along there fella?" Hey, at least some of us have the balls to try to write original music. What's your excuse, castrato?
