DRIVER/MOVER JOB SUMMARY Boxin Moving LLC is a highly rated startup moving company, and we are looking to hire great people to help us grow, and maintain our quality service. Job Requirements Must have a valid driver’s license Must be at least 23 years old, No experience is required, however is a prefered Must be able to pass a background and drug test Must live in Essex or Morris County New Jersey Must have experience in general labor, customer service and driving box trucks Must be punctual and able to assemble and disassemble furniture Duties and Responsibilities: Wrap furniture in protective material. Load, pack and unload items with care. Ensure that no items are damaged while moving. Place furniture in the requested positions at the new location. Take inventory of items and ensure that no items are lost during transportation.’ Prepare moving truck for transport and complete vehicle inspection reports Help prepare, pack, move and unpack Customers’ belongings, and prevent damage during transit. Responsible for wrapping funitture, assembling/disassembling furniture, etc Driving Experience Large Commercial Vans, 1 year (experience prefered) 26' box trucks or Larger Trucks, 1 year (experience required) Expectations Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask in a customer focused, fast paced environment. Consistently interact with our customers in a courteous and professional manner. Work and act safely at all times. Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism. Ability to wrap, pack, load/unload and drive commercial trucks safely. Satisfaction with loss or damage and/or reducing claim. Punctual and professional. Teamwork – movers usually do not work alone and need to interact with other movers to effectively complete each job assignment Organization skills – ability to use organizational skills to plan how to best pack items and arrange them in the moving truck Physical Requirements Have the ability to consistently lift/move boxes, furniture, special items, bedding and unloading in excess of 80lbs. Continuously lift, lower, push, pull all sizes of boxes, items, furniture up to and in excess of 80 lbs. Must have stamina to perform manual duties that often require strength. Must be able to demonstrate the most efficient ways to pack, load and unload goods in and out of box trucks.
