Hey, I’m Canuto, I’m 28 years old and play in a local punk rock band. I’m looking to do something different and I’d like to try my hand at country music. I write, sing, and play guitar. I have already written a handful of songs for this project and have practice space. I’m looking for a bassist, drummer, steel guitarist, and fiddle player. I’m not really looking for another guitarist or singer at this time. I come from the world of punk rock, so if you aren’t someone who grew up playing country, that’s ok. We can learn together. I’m not into modern pop country, and wanted to start a band with an edge. Some of the influences I had in mind for this band are Merle Haggard, all 3 Hanks, Waylon, Willie, Mike Ness’ solo stuff, Alejandro Escovedo, Meat Puppets, and Rank and File. My other band is still pretty active so I will be juggling both, however that shouldn’t be a problem. My intention is to make a record in about a year and play live maybe once or twice a month.
