About The Author Morgan Nelson is an entrepreneur/author/youth motivational speaker. He was born and raised in the beautiful city of Tampa, Florida in a single-parent home. At the age of 16 his life took a turn ; he was incarcerated for getting involved with the wrong crowd and he was sentenced to 15 years in prison. While in prison, Morgan worked diligently to change the trajectory of his life. he has now gone from a statistic to a success story. Upon his release from prison, he decided to write Detour and start his own business: vanzette Vending inc. Morgan is heavily invested in sharing his story with the younger generation about his struggles as an adolescent to help them make positive decisions. In hopes of motivating and encouraging our youth, his current mission is to bring awareness of peer pressure and identity crisis that a great portion of them are faced with today.
