General Description The Warehouse/Facilities Technician (“Technician”) will receive, ship, stage and distribute materials, equipment and products within the warehouse. The Warehouse Technician must ensure accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. The Technician will work in a warehouse setting with some outdoor exposure during the workday. The Technician will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers, as well as, standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, fork lifts and tape dispensers. Specific Responsibilities Assist with shipping and receiving – unloading trucks, checking in merchandise and matching purchase orders to sales orders. Read customer orders, shop orders, shipping orders and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped. Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas. Sort and place materials on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as product code. Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for company associates and customers. Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method. Assist with counting physical inventory. Sweep, dust and mop – organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times. Wear the proper safety equipment. Handle all facility requests. Interface with facility vendors for services as needed. Maintain inventory of all shipping and facility supplies. Work with IFS business system. Identify and support sales with order errors. Handle and deliver packages to company associates. Required Competencies Customer service oriented. Self-Motivated and professional. Ability to drive or learn to drive a forklift. Ability to drive company truck. Required Education & Experience Valid driver’s license High school diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience Preferred Experience/Competencies One year warehouse technician experience preferred IFS enterprise software experience preferred About R.E.
