Musicianship, Music Theory, Improvisation, and Composition I believe students are unique individuals, each with their own inherent potentiality and learning tendencies. I work with levels beginning through advanced, ages seven and up, including seniors. My approach provides structured lessons with light-hearted encouragement, and fosters development of fundamental skills: reading, technique, rhythm, scales. I encourage students to find expression and meaning through interpretation, imagination, creativity, and history. I am patient and understanding, methodical and systematic, and help students break down material in a way that makes it easier to play and understand. - Over 15 years teaching private and group classes. - I offer classical training, and encourage students try styles of their interest. - Discounts may be given in cases where multiple family-members take lessons. Background: Classically trained, eclectic palette B.A. in Music from U.C.
