Description
Thank you for taking the time to look at this post!
I’m looking for someone that has mastered the saxophone and preferably has at least a decade behind them. Eventually I want to focus on the smooth jazz genre, but I’m sure when learning the saxophone it doesn’t start there. I take direction very well and I plan on practicing for at least 10 hours a week indefinitely. I’ve always wanted to do this, but didn’t have the opportunity as a child and finally as an adult I’ve created some time. i’m in my mid 30’s and at a good place to focus on something like this.
I’m looking for someone that can be my instructor, mentor and friend for the long term and someone who really wants to watch me progress through skill levels. I happen to be in business and down the road I plan on opening a club specifically for smooth jazz that will be done properly. I think we’ll need a lot more smooth jazz in the world and if I can help in a small way, that would be great.
I have a dedicated room in my home for this which I will likely soundproof some. I haven’t purchased the instrument or anything I’ll need yet and I’m hoping if I can find the right person they can give me guidance on all of the above.
I’m a guy and happen to be getting married in the near future just FYI. I get along with everyone just fine. My instructor can be a male or female. The only thing that I can imagine would be an issue is that I’m not a smoker and because this is an air instruments I respectfully request an instructor and mentor that doesn’t smoke.
Thank you again and I hope to hear a little bit about you and your background.
