We are staffing our first moving crew in Ellensburg, WA for the company Washington Moves LLC. We opened Whatcom Specialized Moving in 2021 in Bellingham and have been running two crews of three working a job per day five days per week since the season began. We expect high job flow during the summer. We need to hire two movers before we begin advertising. As a result we do not expect many hours until the summer rush. However, after the rush we will have the benefit of referrals and reputation to keep job-flow going. Employees hired first will receive preference for jobs and the experience to move to a management position. Moving for Washington Moves pays $25/hr because we hire people who are worth it. Usually that means wonderful customer service and a good attitude. Previous moving experience not required most of our staff did not have previous experience, it would be very helpful if you do have previous experience doing moves and making decisions independently. Job Description: Loading and unloading household goods (furniture, appliances, etc.) from customers’ moving truck rentals. Moving household goods into position in customers’ drop-off homes. Reliable transportation required for transit to-from jobs. Work tasks include: Coordinating with customers for drop-off-placement of furniture. Driving Uhauls Proper use of shoulder dollies Proper use of appliance dolly Proper use or ratchet straps Good truck organization or transport Good spatial awareness
