It's that time again!!! Let's celebrate a productive, fantastic year of service. The Greater Washington Urban League Guild welcomes you to our White Party! We have done it before, and you had a great time so let's do it again. It has become an annual affair. It's time for the White Party. Wear your white attire and join us as we party with a purpose. There will be prizes for the best-dressed couple and individual male and individual female. The afternoon will be fun filled with lots of fellowship. Come Join us for a delicious buffet as you are entertained by great music from Johnnie Steele and the Steele for Real Band . Rest assured that it will be a fantastic vibe, with plenty of good food, fellowship and & Line Dancing. Proceeds from this event will support the Youth Programs of the Greater Washinton Urban League Guild. The Guild is an auxiliary of the Greater Washington Urban League (GWUL or League), a 501(c) (3) non-profit community service organization, and a member agency of the United Way of the National Capital Area. Since 1938, The Greater Washington Urban League has guided individuals on the road to self-sufficiency, impacting more than three million lives through programs in education, housing, health, economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and youth development in the Washington metropolitan area. The Guild serves as an invaluable volunteer resource to the League that helps broaden community awareness, promotes civic and social engagement, stimulates educational and cultural advocacy, develops programs and activities, and raises funds in support of the programs and projects of the GWUL. Through community service and fundraising activities, the Guild members help expand the reach and impact of the GWUL’s programs. The Guild members serve as “the heart and soul of the Urban League Movement”. They are crucial in connecting the League to communities in Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, and the District of Columbia. Membership is comprised of dedicated individuals of diverse talents, skills, and abilities who enthusiastically uphold the mission of the Greater Washington Urban League. George H. Lambert, Jr. is President and CEO of the Greater Washington Urban League. Robin T. Browder is President of The Guild.
