CrossFit Kent Island invites you to take the HEROES Challenge! This is a 12 hour fundraising event where we will do a total of 12 HERO workouts; 1 at the top of every hour starting at 7am on Saturday, June 11th and ending at 7pm that evening. Workouts will be completed in teams of 3 or 4. We have taken each workout and built appropriate team variations of each so that all can participate, regardless of ability level. We will have modifications for all athletes.
Our biggest goal here is participation, and to create an environment so that all levels can do so. Whether you’d be able to join us for a single workout, or for a handful (or more), we would absolutely love to see you here! Schedule of workouts and times will be posted soon for sign up... This is an effort to raise funds for Fit 4 Duty Foundation, with all proceeds going to this amazing cause (https://fit4dutyfoundation.org). Fit 4 Duty's mission is to address the importance of physical and mental health within law enforcement by partnering with CrossFit affiliates to provide free or reduced rate training to law enforcement officers in need.
In an effort to honor our fallen Heroes and the Heroes still on the front lines, we are requesting a minimum donation of $60, which will also get you a t-shirt! If you would like to donate more than that we thank you for your generosity!
It is also suggested (for your own safety) that if you would like to participate in all 12 workouts that you have been either doing CrossFit (or high intensity training) 3-4 times per week for at least 6 months.
