The first question you need to ask yourself is, what is your time worth? Your time includes all the practice, driving, lugging gear, and all the equipment/instruments you’ve purchased to get where you are.
When I book musicians for a 3-hour gig, I find solo musicians charge a minimum of $300 for 3 hours. Duos come in around $500 for 3 hours. Larger groups charge at least $150-250 per member.
Of course, this assumes you’re good at what you do! And if you are, you’re likely to get repeat gigs. If you suck, well, best of luck to you.
