DENVER, CO — A judge reportedly dropped misdemeanor charges against Denver Broncos promising young wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, who was arrested earlier this month and spent a night in jail following a dispute involving property belonging to the mother of his daughter. Jeudy, whom the Broncos drafted at No. 15 in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, was arrested May 12 in Arapahoe County and was charged with criminal tampering, with a domestic violence enhancer. At the time, authorities were called by a woman and learned that Jeudy, 23, had control her property, Sheriff Tyler Brown said at the time. The woman said Jeudy locked her wallet and their 1-month-old child's medical papers in his car, and would not give her access, Brown said. There was no physical contact between Jeudy and the woman, he said, but the domestic violence enhancer was included in the charges because the two have a child together, Brown said. No property was damaged. A hearing in the case was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. ESPN reported the hearing was vacated as part of the district attorney's motion to dismiss all charges against Jeudy. The motion was granted Tuesday morning, a spokesperson for the court confirmed to USA Today Sports. Harvey Steinberg, Jeudy's attorney, told ESPN: "After reviewing the evidence, I always believed that no crime had been committed and all charges would be dismissed.''
