Acadiana Upholstery will host our June Designing Women of Acadiana meeting. Join us as we tour their studio & check out their work! Acadiana Upholstery is a local business owned by the super creative Sarah Stubbs! She has been designing, sewing and working with textiles for the past 20 years. Exceptionally curious and always hungry for knowledge, Sarah achieved multiple certifications for industrial sewing machine repair to compliment her apparel manufacturing education. Working as an independent mobile mechanic and seasoned seamstress, she was able to access the old world trade and finally achieve her teenage dreams of learning upholstery. Firmly located in historic Freetown PortRico at 1819 Jefferson Street Lafayette, Louisiana. Acadiana Upholstery shares the block with Guidry’s hardware and Jim Stone Co. The 4,500 sq/ft industrial space will eventually house a gallery showroom, retail section with professional supplies for the DIY’er and professional, large workshop and multiple spaces for woodworking, refinishing and fabrication. The sky is the limit with the anticipated offerings to come from this creative space. We will see you there!! Free for DWA members, $10 for non-members.
