Join the Brewery Owner, the house Chef and our Head Brewer to explore the pairings of a delicious four course meal, with four of our most interesting and flavorsome ales, served in the brewery production cellar, with new beers gurgling happily beside you.
The background to each pairing will be explained by the Brewer and Chef. The Owner will be on hand to guide the curious through the history of brewing in Galena. Did you know that Red Stripe beer was produced in Galena for 100 yrs before it went to Jamaica?
MENU (for the May 27th dinner)
Spring onion and Potato Soup.
This soup features fresh spring onions and tender potatoes with added butter, garlic and heavy cream for a sensational start to your dining experience.
Cobb salad
Chopped Romaine lettuce is the base for this salad. It is then layered with crisp bacon, Balsamic baked chicken breast, avocado, boiled eggs, crumbled bleu cheese, and cherry tomatoes. Our house made dressing is served on the side so you may add as you wish.
Pork Wellington with Duxelles.
Tender pork loin is smothered with a mixture of prosciutto, mushrooms, shallots, garlic, and thyme, then wrapped in puff pastry and baked for an astonishing finish. Served with black peppercorn sauce and creamy polenta with Parmesan cheese and mushrooms.
Crème Brulee.
A creamy baked custard made with heavy cream, eggs, sugar, and vanilla with a brittle topping of melted sugar.
